Buffalo Bills 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft: Building around Josh Allen
The 2020 NFL draft class is absolutely loaded with talent at the wide receiver position. There are legitimate playmakers throughout the draft at the position which bodes well for the Buffalo Bills. The Bills already made a big move at the position earlier in this mock, but it is an obvious position of need that they could double-dip at. Here in the fifth-round, the Bills find another receiver to add to the mix.
Gabriel Davis is a big and athletic receiver who was a strong contributor in college. He great length at the position and he uses it well in contested-catch situations. Davis is also a fantastic overall athlete, showing tremendous deep speed and fantastic leaping ability.
Davis tracks the ball in the air extremely well, but his hands are inconsistent at best. He is a flawed player who will likely need some time to adjust to the NFL game, but Davis is undoubtedly worth a flyer for a team like the Bills in the fifth round.
The Buffalo Bills secured their defensive tackle situation when they took Ed Oliver in the first round last year. Oliver is an exciting interior rusher who will be a big-time playmaker for the Bills as a three-tech rusher. However, Buffalo could still use a guy to help plug up the middle.
Davon Hamilton is a big and powerful defensive lineman who shows an explosive first step off of the ball. Hamilton gets up in the pads of the offensive lineman quickly and does a great job of eating up double teams on the inside. He is an impressive run defender who will have success at the next level if he is used right.
