NFL Mocks Podcast: NFL News, Fixing the Miami Dolphins, Questions

In this episode of the NFL Mocks Podcast, the guys talk recent NFL News and Fix the Miami Dolphins.

To start off the show, the guys discuss a little XFL, with Nate petitioning Jake to join the St. Louis Battlehawks fandom. They move on quickly to discuss some of the NFL’s top news as things shift to the off-season. Tom Brady is likely to wait until free agency starts to make a decision, and the guys break down some likely landing spots. Nate suggests somewhere out west, while Jake believes a midwest team might be his best fit. They also discuss Sammy Watkins and a potential Chiefs restructure.

Next up is fixing the Miami Dolphins (15:00). The guys first decide to sign two players to their respective Dolphins rebuild. Nate gets two pass rushers, while Jake gets a pass rusher and a very good offensive lineman.

They then shift to the NFL Draft, where they work through three rounds to build up their team. Jake goes obvious with his pick at number five overall, but Nate takes a different path and is rewarded at pick 18. Jake sticks to the board and opts for a luxury pick at 18. The guys then shift to addressing the offensive line, and by the end of their three rounds, both of them pick a running back to carry the load. To finish up the podcast, the guys answer a few questions (41:00).  They discuss how aggressive the Dolphins should be addressing offensive line, and go crazy discussing a couple of food questions.
