New home, new team. The Raiders have now moved on from the gritty attitude of Oakland to the flash and star power of Las Vegas. Jon Gruden and company should be looking to add star power to bring a needed spark to a currently serviceable Raiders team.

Going to the 2019 season, Oakland held hope that their wide receiving unit would be led by perennial all-pro Antonio Brown. After an unforgettable and Netflix-documentary worthy implosion, Brown left the team and moved on leaving behind a receiving core comprised of free agency bargains and a former standout Clemson slot receiver.

The only outstanding performer through the air was tight end, Darren Waller, collecting 90 receptions for 1,145 yards and three touchdowns. Oakland lacked an explosive presence on the outside to change a game, but hopefully, Las Vegas won’t make the same mistake.

Derek Carr is more than capable of being a downfield passer. According to Pro Football Focus via 247sports.com, Carr was the most accurate passer 20+ yards downfield at 52.3% ball placement (source). With the addition of a deep-target like Green, not only would Carr have the best target of his career (surpassing fellow free agent Amari Cooper) but also give Gruden a freak athlete to incorporate into his offense.
