Pick Analysis. EDGE. Charlotte. 4. Scouting Report. Alex Highsmith. player. 31

Now it starts to get interesting for the New York Giants as we get to day three of the 2020 NFL Draft, since, unfortunately, they don’t have a third-round pick. Finding some more edge help would be beneficial since right now they are relying on Lorenzo Carter and 2019 late-round selection Oshane Ximines. They don’t have to give up on them, but adding more to the mix is needed.

He hasn’t gotten much buzz in the edge class, but Alex Highsmith has traits worth taking a chance on, especially this late, where he could be a steal at this value. Highsmith is a good athlete with strong hands and an ability to bend around the edge.

Safety. Utah. 5. 31. Scouting Report. Julian Blackmon. player. Pick Analysis

For some reason, Utah safety Julian Blackmon has fallen off the radar in terms of a 2020 NFL Draft prospect because of his injury in the Pac-12 championship and subsequently missed the Senior Bowl. However, he would be a welcome addition to the secondary for New York.

Blackmon converted from corner to safety and it panned out for him in 2019, as he logged four interceptions and two forced fumbles. Blackmon brings good closing speed to the table and is someone who has enough range on the back end. He would be interchangeable with Isaiah Simmons at the safety spot.
