Cornerback

Trading Jalen Ramsey to the Rams couldn’t of been an easy decision for the Jaguars to make. He’s one of best players in the league, he’s still young, and he plays a premium position. However, he wanted out and was going to ask for an earth-shattering amount of money on his next contract, so on the other hand it’s good they got good value for him instead of losing him when he hit the open market.

Back in 2017 when the Jaguars signed A.J. Bouye it formed the best cornerback duo in football along with Ramsey, but Bouye wasn’t the same player that he was back then this past season. According to Pro Football Focus, he graded tied for 76th out of 114 qualified cornerbacks. Although he’s not bad the Jaguars may have to consider cutting him as he’s due a $15.4 million cap hit and take the $4 million dead cap, according to Spotrac.

Whether they decide to move on from Bouye or not finding an upgrade from Tre Herndon, who graded as the 93rd ranked corner out of 114 should be high on the offseason priority list.
