Wide Receiver

D.J. Chark had a breakout sophomore campaign as he was selected to the pro bowl. He caught 73 passes for 1008 yards and 8 touchdowns. The former second round pick looks like a solid number one option for the foreseeable future, but the Jaguars don’t have many options beyond him. Keelan Cole, Dede Westbrook, and Chris Conley are all starting quality players, but having one of them as your second best receiver makes for an average receiving core.

As I mentioned earlier if you have an average, starting quality quarterback you can still have a good offense, but you need to be really strong in those other areas besides quarterback. So while perhaps the Jaguars aren’t necessarily weak at wide receiver they aren’t good enough and should look into adding a receiver this offseason.

There are tempting options in free agency, but I think it’d be best for the Jaguars to take a receiver in a draft class which is very loaded at receiver as opposed to spending their limited spending money on a receiver in free agency.

Potential Free Agent Targets: A.J. Green, Emmanuel Sanders, Amari Cooper, Robby Anderson, Breshad Perriman, Allen Lazard, Demarcus Robinson, Re-sign Keelan Cole

Potential Draft Targets: Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, Henry Ruggs, Tee Higgins, LaViska Shenault, Jalen Reagor, Justin Jefferson, Tyler Johnson
