Offensive Tackle

The Jaguars took right tackle Jawaan Taylor in the second round last year and he had a solid rookie year grading as the 50th best tackle out of 81, according to pro football focus. However, Cam Robinson was underwhelming from the left side grading as the 70th best tackle out of 81. Robinson’s a former second round pick, so he does have talent, but I think that it’s time to consider moving on from him whether it’s by signing a tackle in free agency or drafting one.

Last year the Jaguars offensive line wasn’t terrible or anything, but when you’re working with a quarterback that is relatively average and isn’t going to carry a team to wins like a top 10 quarterback can the rest your team needs to be good or you’re not going to have a good offense.

Whether Gardner Minshew or Nick Foles starts next season they need to be able to protect them and limit how often they’re pressured and how quickly they’re pressured as much as possible. An upgrade at blindside protector over Cam Robinson could certainly improve this offense.
