Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Alabama. Henry Ruggs III. 12. player. 829

With their first pick of this 2020 NFL mock draft, the Raiders bring in the fastest and most explosive player in this draft class. Henry Ruggs III is a true game-breaker at the wide receiver position who has massive upside at the next level.

The Raiders desperately lack speed at the wide receiver position and Ruggs has more than enough to fill their need. Ruggs’ raw speed and athleticism immediately stand out on tape. He is incredibly quick off of the line of scrimmage and consistently separates from defensive backs in open space. He is the kind of player who demands consistent over-the-top attention, as he is a threat to bust out a big play at any time.

Ruggs has legitimately elite speed and quickness. He has a chance to break the 40-yard dash record at the NFL Scouting Combine.

While his raw speed is incredibly impressive, Ruggs is more than a guy who can run in a straight line fast. He is a solid route runner who understands how to use his physical gifts to his advantage. Ruggs also shows soft hands and is not afraid to go over the middle and make a play if needed.

Ruggs be a dangerous and dynamic deep threat the minute he steps on an NFL field. He is also an impressive run-after-catch receiver who can make plays in the short passing game.

A truly elite playmaker who could quickly become a star at the next level, Ruggs is an obvious target for the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round.
