The 2020 NFL Draft is loaded with wide receivers from top to bottom. Here is my ranking of the top ten as the NFL Scouting Combine is a month away.

Saying 2020 NFL draft wide receiver class has just depth is a major understatement. The amount of talent that could go in the first round could be the most since 2014. With so many receivers that are worthy of going early, that could push a few out of the first round.

Day 2 has been the better area to take receivers in recent years but that may not necessarily be the case this year. The difference between the guys after the top five is not too significant and there are way too many honorable mentions that just missed the top ten. However, here are ten best receivers I watched this year that could go on Day 1 or 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Scouting Report

For K.J. Hamler, all I have to say is that he is “lightning in a bottle”. Nicknamed “the human joystick” back in high school, the 20-year-old Nittany Lion redshirted his freshman year as he was coming off a torn ACL his senior year of high school.

The 5-foot-9, 176-pound receiver was deadly in the slot and had 98 catches for 1,658 yards (14 total touchdowns) his two years at Penn State. Due to his size, the redshirt sophomore receiver will not be great against the press and physical corners but if he is moved around the offense, Hamler should get advantageous matchups in space.

Hamler tracks the ball well over the shoulder and down the field as a major deep target. He does struggle in contested catch situations and after contact (does not always attack the football and waits for it to get to him). As a dynamic weapon and special teams returner however, Hamler can be effective if utilized correctly and he is already a nuanced route runner with his footwork and is dangerous in the open field.
