2020 NFL Draft: Predicting where the top QB prospects will land

48. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Washington. Jacob Eason. 10. player. QB

Bruce Arians has to win now in Tampa Bay.

He’s one of the older head coaches in the NFL at 67 but he’s also still one of the best offensive schemers in the game.

Arians loves to push the ball downfield and Jacob Eason may be the best player in this draft to do exactly what he wants to do.

I think the Buccaneers’ roster overall is a great fit for a player of Eason’s skillset, which is attacking the ball downfield at a high rate with his strong arm and ability to exploit a variety of types of coverage, but it’s also great because Tampa Bay could wind up signing a veteran like Philip Rivers or Tom Brady to try and win in the interim.

The Bucs’ roster is good enough to lure one of those prominent veteran free agents, and I think one way or another, Jameis Winston will be on the outside looking in with the team that drafted him first overall in 2015.
