Scouting Report. 10. player. 46. Pick Analysis. QB. Utah State. Jordan Love

The Indianapolis Colts are at a crossroads.

The sudden, shocking retirement of Andrew Luck was a wild deviation for this team’s overall trajectory, but Frank Reich is a noted QB developer and offensive guru who has gotten probably the best out of Jacoby Brissett.

With that said, the Colts have a relatively inexpensive price tag on Brissett with no dead money in 2020 and could stick with him for another season, or put him in competition with someone like Jordan Love.

Love is a toolsy quarterback with unreal arm talent, mobility, and tangibles. The big issue with him keeping him from the top pick discussion? Consistency and overall development of his skill set.

That’s obviously where someone like Frank Reich would come into play.

Reich’s expertise with quarterbacks makes this a unique fit. I don’t know that Love could get drafted to just any situation because he’s not quite ready to just step onto an NFL field. But with the Colts, he could be ready sooner than later because Reich will understand how to maximize his skill set in the Colts’ context and get the best out of him before other teams could have him ready.

I like this fit a lot.
