Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. S/LB. Antoine Brooks. 158. player. Maryland. 824

Antoine Brooks is a safety/linebacker hybrid who excels as an in-the-box defender. Brooks is a quick and athletic defender who shows impressive natural coverage ability in the short zone. He is also a tremendous tackler and shows plenty of promise as a man-to-man defender. Brooks is also an extremely high motor player who always seems to find his way to the ball.

An ideal nickel linebacker/third-safety at the next level Brooks undoubtedly has plenty of upside as a sub-package player. On top of that, his combination of athleticism, competitive toughness and tackling ability makes him an ideal special teams asset.

Clemson. Tremayne Anchrum. 190. Scouting Report. OL. 879. Pick Analysis. player

Tremayne Anchrum was a solid offensive tackle in college, but he will have to make the move to the interior at the next level. He is simply too small and lacks the length to play offensive tackle in the NFL.

That being said, Anchrum still shows a nice combination of quick feet and power at the point of attack that will play in the NFL. He has plenty of natural upside as a guy who could theoretically play guard or center at the next level. Anchrum’s ability to get out and attack the second level also makes him a strong fit for the 49ers offense.

Virginia. Joe Reed. 888. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. 194. player

With their final pick of this mock draft, the San Francisco 49ers find themselves another offensive playmaker to add to the mix. Joe Reed is an extremely fast and explosive wide receiver who is particularly impressive with the ball in his hands.

Reed reads the field well, showing ball carrier vision like a running back. Once he finds a crease, he has the speed to take it to the house from anywhere on the field. Reed is an extremely raw player who did not run a variety of routes in college. He will certainly have some development in order to become a true wide receiver, but Reed has plenty of upside as a return specialist who could also make plays on end arounds and in the screen game early in his career.

As a guy who can consistently create extra yardage with the ball in his hands, Reed feels like a guy who the San Francisco 49ers will look to target in the 2020 NFL Draft.
