Josh Uche 2020 NFL Draft
BLOOMINGTON, IN – NOVEMBER 23: Peyton Hendershot #86 of the Indiana Hoosiers gives the stiff arm as Josh Uche #6 of the Michigan Wolverines reaches for the tackle during the first half at Memorial Stadium on November 23, 2019 in Bloomington, Indiana. (Photo by Michael Hickey/Getty Images) /

The first defensive player off the board for the Dolphins is also a teammate of the previous selection, Cesar Ruiz.

Josh Uche was one of the big winners of Senior Bowl week in Mobile, and looks like he’s going to cause some havoc at the next level off the edge.

Uche, at 6-foot-1 and 241 pounds, was one of the only people over the last three years that I saw give Iowa right tackle Tristan Wirfs some real fits and in fact, he kind of had his way with the projected top 15 selection.

He had 18.5 tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks over the last two seasons for Michigan, and it looks like he’s just scratching the surface of what he can be as a rusher.

In Brian Flores’ defense, perhaps Uche can play a similar role to that of Kyle Van Noy in New England.
