Miami Dolphins 7-round mock draft: Loading up for a 2020 run
Although the Dolphins could certainly prefer to mix it up a bit and not spend all three of their top selections on the offensive side of the football, I thought the board here dictated this was the best direction to go.
Late in the first round, D’Andre Swift is a player I think the Dolphins can trust to be a three-down back in the NFL and a player who affects the game significantly in the offense they want to run.
He’s got excellent vision, burst, power, quickness, and pass catching abilities.
He also does a really good job in pass protection and his advanced abilities as an all-around back will endear him to NFL teams.
I don’t think it’s always necessarily the best idea to spend a first-round pick on a running back, but the Dolphins have to take the best players possible and so far, this mock draft has three guys who will be affecting the game arguably the most on offense with a quarterback, left tackle, and featured running back.
