The NFL has quickly become a game of keeping up with the Mahomeses.

We have seen repeatedly through the years how critical it is to have a dynamic presence at the quarterback position, but right now is a completely different ballgame.

The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl after trailing, sometimes in what appeared to be insurmountable amounts, and they kind of made it look easy.

Even a 10-point lead for a dominant running team wasn’t good enough to take down Mahomes. We can only anticipate he’s going to get better, and that’s what teams like the Dolphins are going to be competing against for the foreseeable future in the AFC.

Tua Tagovailoa is a rare type of athlete at the quarterback position with arm talent, escape-ability, and poise in big-game situations.

His injury history is a concern, but the risk is worth the potential reward here as Tua is the type of playmaker at QB I think can actually keep up with someone like Mahomes in a shootout type of situation.
