Kansas City Chiefs 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft after Super Bowl victory
The Chiefs offensive line has done well to keep Patrick Mahomes on his feet the last couple of years, but they could really use some competition at the guard position going into next season.
Stefen Wisniewski’s contract comes to an end this offseason and Andrew Wylie was benched down the stretch this season. I think it’s important they snag someone in the 2020 NFL Draft. So with their fourth-round selection, I have them taking a player with a ton of experience in Ben Bredeson out of Michigan.
Bredeson has great size for an interior guy and has proven to have controlled aggression that I think would make him fit right in with the rest of that offensive line unit. He does an excellent job of keeping his hands engaged with the defender and has plenty of pop at initial contact. Even if he is out-powered and pushed backward, he doesn’t panic and maintains his technique.
He sure looks the part of an immediate starter at the next level and landing with a team with a lot of help around him like the Chiefs could be the perfect situation for the former Wolverine. If they don’t fill this hole earlier, this is who I would target in the mid-rounds.
