860. Scouting Report. Wide Receiver . Baylor. 3. Pick Analysis. Denzel Mims. player

The Kansas City Chiefs have arguably the deepest selection of skill players at their disposal of any team in the NFL today, but they could lose one significant piece to the puzzle this offseason. Sammy Watkins is set to make too much money in 2020 to remain on the roster as the 3rd or 4th option, so the team could look to replace him in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.

One name that would be a great addition and potential replacement for what Watkins provides is Baylor standout, Denzel Mims. So with the team’s third-round pick, they pull the trigger on another explosive weapon outside.

Mims has launched up draft boards of late thanks to his solid week at the Senior Bowl last month and was highly productive during his time with the Baylor Bears. He led his team in receiving touchdowns the last three seasons and finished his career with 28 total scores to go along with his 186 receptions and over 2,900 yards.

His ball skills are some of the best in this class and his blend of length and speed are a mixture that the Chiefs don’t currently have on their roster. I love the fit for Mims in Kansas City.
