Pick Analysis. Derrick Brown. 7. 87. Scouting Report. Auburn. player. DT

Quarterback could be an option for the Carolina Panthers here, but with Burrow, Tagovailoa and Herbert all off of the board, I would not expect them to go in that direction. Instead, the Panthers stand pat and add an elite defensive player to the mix, selecting Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown with the seventh pick of this 2020 NFL mock draft.

Brown shows an impressive combination of quickness and power up front that allows him to create consistent pressure on the interior. He has an explosive first step and shows great upfield burst in the pass rush. Brown is a fantastic one-gap penetrator on the interior who can single-handily make life difficult for the quarterback. Fantastic value selection for Carolina here.

Iowa. 8. Scouting Report. OT. Tristan Wirfs. player. 32. Pick Analysis

Will the Arizona Cardinals address their biggest need, the offensive line or will they find Kyler Murray another pass-catcher to work with? Honestly, I could see this going either way, especially with all of the wide receivers still on the board. That being said, this wide receiver class is incredibly deep and the Cardinals can add some talent at the position later in the draft.

The offensive line class is not near as deep. If they want to find somebody in the draft to legitimately help protect Murray, they better take an offensive tackle in the first round.

In this 2020 NFL mock draft, the Cardinals snag Iowa offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs. Wirfs has an incredible combination of power and athleticism up front, giving him massive upside at the next level. He is a bit inconsistent in pass protection, but when he locks on a player, it is game over. Wirfs also moves his feet well and is a great second-level blocker. The Cardinals have massive needs across their offensive line. Snagging Wirfs takes care of one of those spots.
