Pick Analysis. player. 878. Scouting Report. OT. Iowa. Tristan Wirfs. 10

This is the most crucial trade that the Broncos have an opportunity to make in the 2020 NFL Draft. Here’s why: The Broncos may be selecting too low in 2020 NFL Draft to get the get one of the top-tier prospects such as Andrew Thomas, Tristan Wirfs and Jedrick Wills, and too high to seek value in tackles such as Josh Jones and Mekhi Becton. This offensive tackle class is really top-heavy in terms of strength.

The Broncos are finally comfortable with the man under center, granting them the privilege to address needs elsewhere in the 2020 NFL Draft. However, the offensive line is the weakest link and must be for Denver’s top priority in the 2020 NFL Draft. If they do end up selecting one in the first round, they can’t stop picking offensive lineman there.

Tristan Wirfs from Iowa can block in both aspects of the game. He uses his strength, power and precise hand placement to drive defenders left and right to open holes for the running back. In the passing game, he shows optimal footwork and quickness for a man his size and led the Iowa Hawkeyes offensive line in 2018 to a Big-Ten best 16 sacks allowed in 2018.

Wirfs can play both anywhere on the line with his massive 6-foot-5, 332-pound frame. He even beat Redskins offensive lineman Brandon Scherff’s school record by power cleaning 450 pounds four times. Scherff is said to be one of the best guards in free agency this March. Trust me, this guy is a freak.

This is my favorite and most likely trade scenario. The Broncos would be getting arguably the best offensive lineman in the 2020 NFL Draft without having to give up much to move up the five measly spots. Wirfs is worth it. Go get him Denver.
