1. Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State

Ohio State’s Chase Young is the best player in the 2020 NFL Draft. In 2019, Young had one of the best seasons a defender could have notching 16.5 sacks and a whopping 21 tackles for loss. In terms of projection, Young is the quintessential NFL edge defender, showing great burst off the LOS and an ability to bend at the hips. While he could touch up his hand technique, Young is one of the better edge prospects to come out in recent years.

2. Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

While it may be a bit controversial to have LSU’s Joe Burrow at No. 2 instead of No. 1 overall, that shouldn’t distract people from how good he is. As the consensus QB1 for the 2020 NFL Draft, Burrow put up historic numbers in his senior season, showing great anticipation and ball placement, setting himself up to be a potential franchise quarterback.

3. Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn

Derrick Brown is the top interior defensive lineman in the 2020 NFL Draft class, proving to be a force to be reckoned with for the Auburn Tigers. Brown shows great movement skills for a 6-foot-4, 318-pound defensive tackle while displaying great functional play strength. Brown can come int day one and be a building block for any defense.

4. Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State

Jeffrey Okudah quickly became the consensus top corner for the 2020 NFL, displaying the potential to be a lockdown corner in the NFL. Okudah has elite footwork and I believe he has the speed to keep up with receivers. While he could potentially fall given the need for quarterbacks, Okudah shouldn’t drop outside the top-10.

5. Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

Tua Tagovailoa‘s injury history is certainly something that should be taken seriously. Having said that, he remains a top prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft. Tua has some of the best touch in the class, displaying an ability to make virtually any throw despite not having the greatest arm. Another selling point for Tua is his great leadership and overall football acumen, something that NFL coaches will dearly value.

6. Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson

Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons is a swiss-army knife type of a player, showing an ability to play both at linebacker and safety. While I believe he’ll ultimately stick to linebacker in the NFL, his versatility is an intriguing factor that could have teams calling his name early. Simmons could be a viable chess piece for a defensive coordinator, bringing sound tackling technique and range to a needy defense.

7. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy is one of the more electric receivers to come out in the draft in a long time, showing silky smooth route running and great speed. While some of his drops can be worrisome, but his ability to create separation and get leverage on opposing defenders is truly mesmerizing. Jeudy is my top receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft and I do not see that changing at any point.

8. Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama

A few months ago, no one would have thought that Jedrick Wills would be sitting here at the top of the 2020 NFL Draft. But now, the junior from Alabama is my top tackle in the draft, showing an excellent anchor with some other-worldly pass sets, in addition to displaying great power at the POA. Wills shouldn’t move much lower than this spot, as he is a top 10 lock for me.

9. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

Currently, CeeDee Lamb is my wide receiver number two and it doesn’t look like he’ll move from that spot either. While some may say his speed should be called into question, to me, Lamb is fast enough to separate at the next level. Lamb’s main appeal is his ability to wiggle himself free with his quickness that should definitely translate to the next level.

10. Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

While amongst the draft community, Georgia’s Andrew Thomas has seen somewhat of a stock drop in the last few weeks. And while he does have his drawbacks as any prospect does, Thomas is still my second best tackle in the 2020 NFL Draft. To me, Thomas shows enough as a pass blocker with his strong hands, anchor and footwork for me to place him in the top 10.
