Day Three Picks

4a. James Proche, WR, SMU

Proche caught more than 400 passes in college and didn’t even have 10 drops. He has great hands, catches the ball well in traffic, and is aggressive at the catch point with impressive leaping abilities. He may not be the biggest or fastest, but Proche is a machine and gives the Broncos a much-needed extra weapon on offense.

4b. Troy Pride Jr., CB, Notre Dame

Pride is a physical cornerback prospect with good speed who could add some depth to the boundary of Denver’s secondary, assuming a player like Darnay Holmes would be drafted to play inside.

Pride showed some great stuff at the Senior Bowl and John Elway emphasized adding Senior Bowl guys in the mid-rounds. These day three picks accomplish that.

6. Jonah Jackson, OL, Ohio State

The Broncos are undoubtedly in need of offensive line depth, not just starting caliber players. I actually think Jackson is going to go at least a round earlier than this, but the Broncos should have a fifth-round pick soon enough, so maybe they would take him a round earlier.

Jackson is a powerful guard prospect who might have to show he can snap as well in the NFL.

7. Logan Wilson, LB, Wyoming

Logan Wilson is a converted defensive back who had a really productive career at Wyoming. He’s worth a flyer here as the Broncos need to find a linebacker who can actually matchup with backs and tight ends when asked to do so.
