Davon Hamilton 2020 NFL Draft

Since the Broncos took Dre’Mont Jones in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, this would make back-to-back years with an Ohio State defensive lineman in the third round for John Elway and company.

Hamilton is a different type of lineman than Jones in that he is more likely to play over the center or shading the inside of a guard than playing the 3-5T positions, but he’s effective nonetheless.

The Broncos need depth and potentially at least one new starter on the defensive line with Derek Wolfe, Shelby Harris, and Adam Gotsis all slated for free agency.

I think right now the expectation is that Dre’Mont Jones will fill one starting spot with Mike Purcell coming back as an RFA in the middle, leaving one starting spot open and the Broncos in need of a top reserve.

Hamilton could definitely be that guy and his explosiveness from the interior would be welcomed in the Mile High City.
