IOL. Clemson. John Simpson. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 879. 5

Through four rounds of this mock draft, I think we have been able to significantly improve the Cincinnati Bengals on both sides of the ball. That being said, the offensive line is a major need for this team and we have yet to address the position.

In the fifth round, we start to work on the Bengals’ offensive line by bringing in John Simpson out of Clemson. Clemson is an extremely powerful offensive guard prospect who shows strong hands and consistently plays with proper pad level. He is a below-average athlete for the position, but Simpson is incredibly powerful at the point of attack and plays with fantastic competitive toughness.

Simpson has a bright future as a people mover at the next level and could come in and immediately compete for a starting spot in Cincinnati.

Ben Bartch. 6. 56. Saint John's. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OL

Ben Bartch is the offensive lineman who I am most excited to see during Senior Bowl week. Bartch had a lot of success as a left tackle in college, but playing for Division III Saint John’s, how much stock can we really put in that?

Bartch has plenty of athletic upside and shows some nice power in his hands, but he is an extremely raw player who will likely need a year or two before he is ready for the NFL game. That being said, he has plenty of natural upside up front and I am extremely interested to see what he can do against a higher level of competition at the Senior Bowl.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OL. Tremayne Anchrum. Clemson. 7. player. 879

After not taking an offensive lineman in the first four rounds, the Cincinnati Bengals finish this mock draft with three in a row. Here, they find another Clemson product in Tremayne Anchrum.

Next. Top prospects to watch during Senior Bowl week. dark

Anchrum played offensive tackle in college, but at 6-foot-2, 315 pounds, he simply does not have the size and length to play the position at the next level. Instead, I fully expect Anchrum to kick inside. He shows good football IQ, strong mobility and solid power at the point of attack. Anchrum should be able to make a successful transition to guard or even center at the next level and could quickly become a valuable player up front for the Cincinnati Bengals.
