The Cincinnati Bengals also hold the first pick of the third round, giving them another opportunity to add another difference-maker to the mix. After snagging Burrow and immediately getting him a pass-catching weapon, the Bengals now turn their attention to the defensive side of the ball.

Darrell Taylor is an impressive pure speed rusher who you do not need to look hard at to see his upside. Taylor shows an extremely explosive first step, bends around the edge with ease and closes on the quarterback with incredible speed. He can win with a variety of speed moves and can be an absolute menace when he is at the top of his game.

As impressive as his raw speed and athleticism are, Taylor does lack power in his game. He struggles at times at the point of attack and is extremely underdeveloped as a run defender. Taylor also tends to disappear at times and needs to become a more consistent player if he is ever going to reach his ceiling.

He is not a perfect prospect, but I would not be surprised if the Cincinnati Bengals fall in love with Taylor’s upside at the Senior Bowl and make him a priority in the 2020 NFL Draft. He is certainly worth the risk as a third-round pick.
