Here are five potential targets for the Arizona Cardinals in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The first year under the helm of Kliff Kingsbury showed some promise as to what the future might hold for Arizona Cardinals. Rookie quarterback Kyler Murray showed a bit of what he can do through the air and with his legs, Chandler Jones has been playing with his hair on fire and Budda Baker is starting to blossom into a quality safety in the NFL.

Despite such promise, the Arizona Cardinals are still in need of more talent in order to get back to their 2015 form where they finished with a 13-3 and made it all the way to the NFC Championship game.

During the 2019 season, their offense, while ranking in the top 10 in rushing yards as well as ranking in the top 20 points, ranks towards the bottom of the league pass yards and yards per game. On the defensive side of the ball, the Cardinals ranked towards the bottom in every saliant defensive category, ranking last in the league in yards allowed per game.

The Arizona Cardinals ultimately finished the season going 5-10-1, with the tie coming in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions. With such a record, the Cardinals hold the eighth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Sitting firmly in the top 10 of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals are in a prime spot to properly address their biggest positions of need.

Such positions of need include offensive line, interior defensive line, wide receiver, tight end, safety and EDGE. While the value isn’t quite there for those latter three positions, the former are definitely places Arizona could go in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The Cardinals could also look to sure up positions such as inside linebacker and corner if they chose to do so.
