2020 NFL Draft: Top prospects to watch during Senior Bowl week
6.) Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR, Liberty
Antonio Gandy-Golden has had a ton of production at Liberty in his career there. It will be interesting to see if he can find separation and make plays as consistently as he has against some of the toughest corners in the country. He has great size and wins in contested catch situations, so he has the chance to really turn some heads during Senior Bowl week.
7.) Josh Uche, EDGE/LB, Michigan
Josh Uche has the attention of many evaluators for his burst and natural athleticism. Is he a tweener though? It’ll be interesting to watch where NFL coaches line him up. His versatility is intriguing but finding a home for him will be important to NFL evaluators. Look for him to win a lot of one-on-one matchups throughout the week.
8.) Zack Baun, EDGE/LB, Wisconsin
Much like Uche, Zack Baun is a versatile defender that does a lot of things well. Finding out what position he projects better at in the NFL will be a topic of conversation throughout the Senior Bowl festivities. Baun has seen his name climb up draft boards recently and this is a huge opportunity for him to catch the attention of those who have yet to.
9.) Kyle Dugger, S, Lenoir-Rhyne
Kyle Dugger is a sleeper in this year’s draft. Coming from a small program, he hasn’t found national attention (yet). Dugger is a natural playmaker who I expect to open the eyes of evaluators throughout the week this week. Don’t overlook the Lenoir-Rhyne product, because, in a draft class like this one, you could see him get taken on day two with a successful Senior Bowl week.
10.) Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB, Appalachian State
There is no denying that this year’s draft class is weak at the linebacker position at the top. There are many prospects that can find production in the NFL after the first round, however. Akeem Davis-Gaither has some juice. His explosiveness and sideline-to-sideline speed will be put on display during practices in front of all 32 NFL teams. I expect Davis-Gaither’s draft stock to rise during Senior Bowl week and get his name into day two conversation.
There is so much talent in this year’s Senior Bowl. I expect most of these guys get drafted with many of them taken on day two of the 2020 NFL Draft. There is even some top of the class guys participating in this year’s event. Tune in throughout the week and on Saturday, January 25th for updates on how these prospects fare during the Senior Bowl.
