player. Pick Analysis. LSU. Kristian Fulton. Cornerback. 17. 123. Scouting Report

Behind Jeffrey Okudah, Kristian Fulton is pretty clearly the best cornerback option in the 2020 NFL Draft. With 14 pass deflections in 2019, Fulton is incredibly difficult to even complete a pass against.

Fulton is a very physical corner with great technique and fluid hips to stay glued to receivers. He is very disciplined with great instincts in zone coverage as well. Although he has just two career interceptions, Fulton is very good at locating the ball in the air and making a play.

The Cowboys number one corner, Byron Jones, is a free agent this offseason. If Dallas is unable to retain him they have a very clear hole at the position. The Cowboys opted to go with Ezekiel Elliott at fourth overall in 2016 ahead of Jalen Ramsey and their secondary has struggled ever since. While Fulton isn’t quite Ramsey, he would be a huge addition to a defense that will need to hold its own if the Cowboys want to compete at the level that they believe they can.

59. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 18. EDGE. Penn State. Yetur Gross-Matos

Another talented pass rusher from the Big Ten, Yetur Gross-Matos has been incredibly productive over his past two seasons at Penn State. With eight and nine sacks and 20 and 14.5 tackles for loss, its clear Gross-Matos has a knack for getting into the backfield.

Gross-Matos has an ideal frame for an NFL defensive end and just needs to add more play strength to really be able to set the edge as a strong-side defensive end. He is extremely athletic and possesses a wide array of pass rush moves that he can deploy against blockers.

After getting their quarterback earlier in the first round, The Dolphins go with a guy that can get after the opposing passer. At his current size and with his athletic ability, Gross-Matos would fit in well in Brian Flores‘ 3-4 defense. His talent and potential would serve Miami well going forward as they continue to rebuild and reshape their roster, especially on defense.
