Scouting Report. Alabama. Jerry Jeudy. player. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. 9. 52

Jerry Jeudy may very well be the best pure route runner in the NFL as soon as he gets drafted. He is that crisp. With his quick footwork and ability to sell fakes with his head and entire body, Jeudy can run every route on the tree and come open against the best defenders in the nation.

While he struggled with some drops and didn’t have quite as productive of a season as he did a year ago or as his teammate this season, Jeudy is still an elite prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft. He is phenomenal with the ball in his hands with an innate ability to take a screen or short crossing route down the field for a huge play.

I think Jeudy’s style of play is somewhere between Antonio Brown and Michael Thomas, and he really does have that sort of potential in the NFL.  The Jaguars found a good one in deep threat and red zone target D.J. Chark, but they haven’t been able to find a guy that can get open every single play, no matter where he is on the field. Jeudy can be that guy.

No matter who is playing quarterback in Jacksonville, they will love having Jeudy to throw to. He may not be quite as flashy as some of the other guys in this loaded 2020 NFL Draft wide receiver class, but if he can consistently catch passes thrown his way he has the potential to be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
