Quartney Davis, Texas A&M

Quartney Davis didn’t have a ton of production in his two seasons at Texas A&M, but he’s gotten a lot of 2020 NFL Draft hype over the last few weeks. There aren’t a lot of games out there to watch for those who don’t have the all-22 college tape, but for what is there, there’s some potential for Davis.

Davis is another receiver who operated in the slot a lot in college, and that’s where he excelled. He enjoyed free releases and got open in space. He is an explosive player after the catch, showing speed and quickness to make defenders miss. It’s going to be great to see him get a lot of reps down in Mobile to show what he’s got.

Devin Duvernay, Texas

I did a recent scouting report on Devin Duvernay a little while back, and there’s a lot to like with his game. Duvernay has good hands despite letting the ball get into his frame on many occasions. He is also a contested-catch machine, something a little surprising with his 5’11” stature. Duvernay boxes out defenders very well and tracks the football well down the field. He’s also physical after the catch and possesses plenty of speed.

The one thing that needs work for Duvernay is his release and route running, and he will get a chance to prove he’s better than advertised in those two areas.
