2020 NFL Draft: Underclassmen tracker by position
The 2020 NFL Draft is a pretty loaded class of players thanks in large part to the underclassmen who have declared early. Who’s in?
The 2020 NFL Draft class is looking absolutely loaded and NFL teams are going to be rightly excited.
The depth of this class, as is the case with almost any draft class, is thanks to the declarations of underclassmen to leave school with eligibility remaining and take their talents to the NFL.
Let’s take a look at each position group and which players are leaving school early to try to make it in the pros. Some of these names have been a lot more highly publicized than others, and some of these players are undoubtedly taking big risks by leaving school early.

Right now, that gives us 109 early entries and counting for the 2020 NFL Draft.
The best group in this class right now is the wide receiver position, which features a number of first-round players and possibly at least two top 10 draft picks in CeeDee Lamb (Oklahoma) and Jerry Jeudy (Alabama).
We also may see the fastest player in Combine history in Henry Ruggs III come from that wide receiver group.
There are a number of surprises on this list, and while it’s difficult to call any individual player a true shocker of an early entrant, I think Hawaii quarterback Cole McDonald qualifies as my shocker right now from a talent and development standpoint.
We will continue to update this list as players declare for the 2020 class before the deadline on Friday.
