The Seattle Seahawks look to bolster the pass rush in this 2020 seven-round NFL mock draft.

The Seattle Seahawks had a very good 2019 season. They finished 11-5, good for second in the NFC West and good enough for a wild card spot. Russell Wilson had an MVP-caliber season and Chris Carson was excellent on the ground before his injury.

The biggest addition to the team this season was rookie wide receiver D.K. Metcalf. Metcalf caught 58 passes for 900 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular and also dominated against the Eagles in the wild card round (7 catches, 160 yards, TD). His addition made the vertical passing game that much better.

On defense, Jadeveon Clowney was a one-man wrecking crew for Seattle. Despite logging just three sacks, Clowney was a force in the run game, forced four fumbles, and scored a touchdown for the defense. He enters the offseason as a free agent, so he’s a priority for Seattle.

There were some issues with the Seahawks this season, and they ended up being their downfall. The defense doesn’t have a true number one corner at the moment, and it showed in their loss to the Packers, as they couldn’t find a way to contain Davante Adams. Outside of Clowney, there is not a consistent pass rush, and with Jarran Reed now a free agent, the interior defensive line needs help as well. Let’s also not forget about the offensive line.

The Seattle Seahawks don’t have a ton of picks to work with (just five according to The Draft Network’s mock draft simulator), so they should focus on their biggest needs. Here’s an idea of what they could do in the 2020 NFL Draft.
