Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

While I did touch on the possibility of the Jaguars taking CeeDee Lamb at 9 in the first slide, I think that is the least likely option of the three I mention. If they do decide to go defense with their first selection of the 2020 NFL Draft, another receiver that could be in play for the Jaguars with their 20th pick is Alabama speedster, Henry Ruggs III.

Ruggs was only the third-leading receiver on the Crimson Tide in 2019 but still managed to take the spotlight from the likes of Jerry Jeudy and Devonta Smith plenty of times throughout the season.

He led the team in yards per touch with 19.5 and seems to be a threat to score anytime he has the ball in his hands. His speed is undeniable and he can gain separation on a defender in an instant. He is a guy that would change defenses coverage plans and force deep safety looks in fear of his downfield ability.

He is expected to be one of the fastest players at the NFL Combine and could legitimately threaten the record set by John Ross in 2018. Adding that speed to a receiving core that already has D.J. Chark and Chris Conley (both ran sub-4.4 at the combine) could give Gardner Minshew the fastest trio of receivers in the NFL today.
