Jeffrey Okduah, CB, Ohio State

It’s no secret that the Jacksonville Jaguars need help on the boundary after trading away Jalen Ramsey last season, so Ohio State’s Jeffrey Okudah should be very high on their board going into the 2020 NFL Draft. While some luck would have to happen for Okudah to fall into their laps at 9, I do think the way the draft order stands right now makes it a realistic possibility.

Okudah proved to be the most lock-down draft-eligible defensive back in the country in 2019 and only seemed to get better as the season progressed, finishing his career off with a truly dominant performance against the Clemson Tigers in the College Football Playoff.

He has the size, instincts and big-play ability that makes him such a rare find at the corner position and would immediately help a secondary that struggled to find consistency after the departure of Ramsey.

The team is also in quite the pickle in terms of cap space at the moment and may be forced to cut ties with A.J. Bouye this offseason, who is set to make over $15 million in 2020.

With that risk in mind, this would be the perfect scenario for the Jaguars with their 9th overall pick.
