152. player. 814. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Tyler Clark . Defensive Tackle . Georgia

Despite giving up over 200 rushing yards to Derrick Henry in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, the Baltimore Ravens defensive line has played pretty well over the course of the 2019 NFL season. The defense as a whole finished the year 5th against the run, due in part to guys such as Michael Pierce, Brandon Williams, and Domata Peko. However, with Pierce, Peko, Justin Ellis and Jihad set to become free agents, Baltimore could look to address the defensive interior.

Not counting their free agents, the Baltimore Ravens are incredibly thin at their interior defensive line. Outside of Williams, the only players that remain are third-year defensive end, Chris Wormley and rookie nose tackle Daylon Mack. While the Baltimore Ravens could bring a few guys back as well as sign other free agents, that still shouldn’t divorce them from addressing the position in the draft.

Georgia’s Tyler Clark could be a solid option for the Baltimore Ravens here in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Clark has built his career at Georgia on being a dominant run defender, showing good overall strength and length to out-leverage opposing offensive lineman. In addition to being a very disruptive player, Clark shows great awareness and some quickness to his game.

Clark is a classic three-tech and has the potential to be a contributor in his rookie year for the Baltimore Ravens. I don’t think he’ll start right away but could find himself in a more pronounced role as his career continues to progress.
