Interior Offensive Line. Ben Bredeson. 92. Pick Analysis. Michigan. player. 811. Scouting Report

After Saturday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans, perennial Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda stated that he would take the offseason to mull over his future. With the potential loss of one of their more dominant players in team history, the Baltimore Ravens could look to address the interior offensive line in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Outside of Yanda, Baltimore has some very interesting pieces along the interior of their offensive line. Second-year guard Bradley Bozeman started all 16 games at left guard for the Baltimore Ravens in 2019, who had a solid season overall. Rookie’s Patrick Mekari and Ben Powers played sparingly, with Mekari getting more snaps filling in for the injured Matt Skura, who will be a free agent in March.

Should the Baltimore Ravens not re-sign Skura, Michigan guard Ben Bredeson could be a target for them moving forward. Starting 51 games for the Wolverines over his career, Bredeson would bring experience and toughness to the Baltimore Ravens. On film, Bredeson displays a good anchor along with great awareness as a pass protector. While not the most athletically gifted guard, Bredeson is a mauler at the line of scrimmage, showing great power at the point of attack.

With Yanda and Skura’s future up in the air, the Baltimore Ravens have a task ahead of them as to how they shuffle their offensive interior. And given Mekari’s inconsistencies as a rookie, Bredeson could find himself in a starting role if the Baltimore Ravens were to move Bozeman to center.
