Alabama. Terrell Lewis. 28. 829. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Edge. player

After the 2018 NFL season, franchise mainstay Terrell Suggs left for Arizona and Za’Darius Smith left for Green Bay, eventually playing his way to a 13-sack season. With Smith and Suggs no longer in town, fourth-year pass rusher Matthew Judon had to step up and take over as the team’s top pass rusher. And overall, Judon had a solid season, totaling 9.5 sacks and 14 TFLs, earning himself a Pro Bowl nod.

Despite Judon’s success, the Baltimore Ravens saw middling production from their other outside linebackers. The next closest player in terms of sacks was third-year linebacker Tyus Bowser with 5 quarterback sacks. Free-agent acquisition Pernell McPhee finished the year with 3 sacks and rookie Jaylon Ferguson with 2.5 sacks. With Judon and McPhee set to become free-agents, pass rusher has become a big need for the Baltimore Ravens.

Luckily for Baltimore, Crimson Tide edge rusher Terrell Lewis could step in Day 1 and provide a consistent pass rush for them. Coming back from a torn ACL suffered before his junior season, Lewis showed a ton of ability on film this past season. He finished his redshirt junior with six sacks and 11.5 TFLs.

While he’s still a little undisciplined as a player, Lewis has explosiveness off of the snap and shows some good bend as well. Additionally, Lewis plays the run fairly well, showing an ability to disengage from blockers with physicality and length.

If Judon is retained for the foreseeable future, a pairing with him and Lewis could be a potent duo there for the Baltimore Ravens.
