Identifying five first-round targets in the 2020 NFL Draft for the Buffalo Bills. They’ll look at three wide receivers, a cornerback and pass rusher.

The Buffalo Bills are coming off of an impressive 2019 season. However, the last time we saw them, quarterback Josh Allen looked all out of sorts.

Make no mistake, I believe Allen is 100 percent the guy to lead the Bills moving forward. He must improve as a passer, no doubt, but he has the “it” factor and intangibles to lead. People will look at that fourth quarter in Houston as a reason to knock Allen and say he’s not the guy for them. He’s a 23-year-old kid learning on the job in his second season. They’ll try to compare him to Patrick Mahomes and DeShaun Watson, but those are two of the best quarterbacks the league has to offer.

This offseason should be focused on improving the talent around Allen. They have a solid offensive line that may need some fine-tuning, but overall shouldn’t be their top priority. Who knows what Frank Gore will do, but they have Devin Singletary who was impressive in his rookie season.

The receivers aren’t terrible as John Brown and Cole Beasley had very good seasons for the Bills. The problem is that neither receiver has a wide catch radius. I’d like to see Buffalo get a big physical receiver with a wide catch radius for Josh Allen.

The Bills’ defense was one of the best units in all of football in 2019. They were well-coached and played hard and disciplined football. There could still be improvements, however, as Tre’Davious White needs some help in the secondary.

Safety Micah Hyde is locked in until after 2021, but his partner Jordan Poyer is up after next season. Buffalo also needs to address its CB2 spot opposite White.

Their front seven isn’t bad at all but they may need to add some pass-rushing as Shaq Lawson is set to become a free agent. There are plenty of pass rushers in free agency, but if Buffalo decides they don’t want to pay a premier price there are some solid choices in the first two rounds of the draft.

It’s time to check out which prospects the Buffalo Bills could target in the 2020 NFL Draft. They hold the 22nd overall pick.
