Round 1, No. 25 Overall: Nick Harris, OL, Washington

We know how bad the Minnesota Vikings were beat in the trenches on Saturday against San Francisco, so the focus in the 2020 NFL Draft needs to start with fixing that offensive line. With the top three tackles likely gone by this point in the draft, the Vikings shift to focusing on the interior offensive line.

The interior offensive line position has taken a hit regarding its depth in 2020, as Oklahoma’s Creed Humphrey and Tennessee’s Trey Smith both decided to return to school for another season. That makes it even more of a priority for Minnesota, with Pat Elflein and Josh Kline manning the guard spots at the moment.

Enter Nick Harris, an offensive lineman who continues to rise up draft boards as draft season begins. Despite the fact that Harris played center all season for the Washington Huskies, he also has experience at guard. Harris has plenty of traits worthy of a first-round selection. He’s a great mover, with great quickness out of his stance and the mobility to work in space and get to the second level. Harris has plenty of strength as well and uses his shoulders and hips with torque to displace blockers.

Harris heads to the Senior Bowl in just over a week, and he could sneak into round one with a strong performance there.
