The Cleveland Browns, picking 10th in the 2020 NFL Draft, currently do not have a head coach or GM. Let’s take over the franchise for this seven-round mock.

And then there was one. The Cleveland Browns are the lone NFL team remaining with a head coaching vacancy. Additionally, they do not currently employ a general manager, a position that Browns owner, Jimmy Haslam, says will be filled after the head coach, giving the coach some say in the decision.

So at this point, it remains to be seen whether Haslam, the future head coach, the future GM or chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta will have the final say when it comes to draft selections for the 2020 NFL Draft in April.

While we expect a head coach hiring sometime this weekend, and the other dominoes to fall shortly after, at this time it is tough to predict the direction that the Browns will go this offseason, not knowing who will be in charge. Nonetheless, it’s always a fun guessing game to play. So here we put on our GM hat and take over the Cleveland Browns for the full seven-round duration of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Will they opt for one of the top offensive tackles in the draft at 10 overall? Will one still be there? Will a talented defensive player fall to 10 and be too good to pass up? Will they trade down with a quarterback-needy team if one of the top prospects are there and they want to acquire even more draft capital? These questions are what makes the NFL Draft so intriguing.

We won’t dive into trades in this particular mock. These are simply the picks that I would make if I was the decision-maker for the Cleveland Browns during the 2020 NFL Draft.

Note: This mock draft was completed using The Draft Network’s Mock Draft Machine. This clearly will not be an exact replica of how players will go off the board in April, but I conducted the mock draft true to the board. If a player was available when it was my turn to pick, I selected them even if they may have higher grades by many evaluators. Crazy things happen in the NFL Draft.
