Las Vegas Raiders 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft: Swinging for the fences
The Las Vegas Raiders swing for the fences in this seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.
With their days in Oakland behind them, it is a new era for the Raiders. Not only are they moving to Las Vegas and are going to be playing in a brand-new state of the art stadium, but they have also put together an extremely young and interesting roster for their fans to get behind. This is an exciting time for the Raiders but they still have plenty of work to do.
There is plenty of intrigue about what the Raiders will do this offseason. With plenty of cap space available, Jon Gruden, Mike Mayock and company should be able to make some significant additions to their roster in free agency. However, for a young team like this, the draft should be the most interesting part of the offseason.
Linebacker, cornerback and wide receiver stand out as the most important positions of need for Las Vegas, but it does not end there. The Raiders could also use some help on the defensive line, interior offensive line and perhaps a quarterback if the situation presents itself. The team appears to be completely committed to Derek Carr, but his play as not exactly cemented him as the guaranteed franchise quarterback going forward.
In this seven-round mock draft, we are going to try to step into the minds of Gruden and Mayock and predict what they will do. Based on team needs and schematic fits, we should be able to put together a strong 2020 NFL draft that this team would be proud of.
Without further ado, here is a complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft for the Las Vegas Raiders.
