With Gerald McCoy, Vernon Butler and Kyle Love all hitting free agency this offseason, the Carolina Panthers would easily have a major need on the interior defensive line when the 2020 NFL Draft rolls around. If the Panthers do not snag Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown in the first round, Gallimore stands out as an obvious target for this team in the second.

The Panthers hired Matt Rhule to be their new head coach on Tuesday. Rhule is a bit of an unknown, but he is considered a strong program builder who is going to want to build this roster the right way. I could see the Panthers looking to build their team from the inside out, making sure to solidify the offensive and defensive lines right away.

Gallimore is an extremely talented defensive tackle prospect who has obvious upside at the next level. He could certainly end up being a first-round selection, but if he happens to slip to the second round, I would expect to make Gallimore a priority.

His ability to make plays as a run defender and create pressure from the interior should allow Gallimore to be an immediate contributor and a long-time asset for the Panthers. He is an obvious target for this team in the 2020 NFL Draft.
