WR. Alabama. Jerry Jeudy. 3. player. 31. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Wide receiver is actually a position the New York Giants are pretty solid at. Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate, and Darius Slayton is a pretty good trio and that is the reason I’m giving Simmons the slight edge to be the Giants pick over Jerry Jeudy. With that being said it would still make sense for the New York Giants to take Jeudy. He’d step in probably be their best receiver right out of the gate, he’d help with Daniel Jones’ development, and they may view him as the best player available.

Jeudy is a very complete wide receiver prospect. He’s very quick, fast, and agile which makes him a fantastic route runner. He is also very dangerous with the ball in his hands after the catch, he makes tacklers miss often and makes it look easy.

He showcased his deep threat ability on a play in 2018 when he beat Ole Miss safety Zedrick Woods, who ran a 2019 combine best 4.29 40-yard dash, and was not caught from behind. In fact, Jeudy appeared to be pulling away from him at the end of the run.

He was surrounded by an absurd amount of receiving talent at Alabama and still produced well in each of the last 2 seasons, so there’s no doubt in my mind he can be a high-volume receiver in the NFL.
