Are the Colts really in on the Tua Tagovailoa draft sweepstakes with the 13th overall pick? It’s hard to see him falling that far, but it isn’t a guarantee (as most things aren’t in the draft, especially three months out).

Like other teams, if the Colts want to mortgage some of their future, they can do so. With three picks in the first 45 selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, they could part with one of those, a first-round pick next year, and a fourth-round pick to move up if need be.

The Colts are a perfect fit for a lot of quarterbacks, and there are two big reasons why. For one, they have a great offensive mind at head coach in Frank Reich, who understands quarterback play very well. They also have Jacoby Brissett in house for the 2020 season, and Brissett can be the bridge guy until Tua is ready to go.

The offensive line is already very strong in Indianapolis, and they could keep Tua upright in the pocket. The Colts have a stud wide receiver in T.Y. Hilton, a very reliable tight end in Jack Doyle, a great stable of running backs, and enough selections in the 2020 NFL Draft to surround Tua with more receiving weapons. This fit is my personal favorite.
