The Miami Dolphins are an obvious team fit. From the start, Dolphins fans have been all over Tua Tagoviloa as the quarterback they want to target in the 2020 NFL Draft. Now, with Tua officially declaring, the dream turning to reality is within reach.

The Dolphins have three picks in the first round of the draft, with one of those being in the top five selections. There’s a solid chance that Miami could stay put and pick him at five, but they also have the capital to move up if they know Tua is their guy, with two other first-round picks and two second-round picks.

As far as a fit goes, this offense is ready for a precise passer like Tua to join the fold. Even if he needs to rest for part of 2020, the Dolphins have the cap space to bring in a short term starter or keep Ryan Fitzpatrick. They have wide receiver DeVante Parker in place as well, who’s come along a lot in 2019. His best routes are in-breaking routes, an area where Tua succeeds.

Miami also has the cap space and draft capital to bring in effective offensive linemen to protect Tua, along with adding weapons to build an explosive and efficient offense. They should be able to add a top running back and even get one of the Alabama receivers in house to reunite with Tua. It’s all coming together if Miami indeed selects him.
