Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

If Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa ends up declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers would be a logical landing spot for him. Tua is certainly a bit of a risky prospect because of his hip injury, but if he is cleared by doctors, he should be considered a top-tier prospect in the class.

Tagovailoa is an extremely smart quarterback prospect who reads the opposing defense well and rarely makes poor decisions. He is also a relatively mobile quarterback who works the pocket well and can also make plays with his legs.

Most importantly, Tagovailoa is an incredibly accurate passer who consistently places the ball on a dime. He is incredibly accurate to all levels of the field and puts incredibly touch on his passes. Tagovailoa does a great job of consistently putting the ball where it needs to be, always leading his receivers with precise touch and accuracy.

The only real question here is durability. If Tua can prove his health, he is undoubtedly a top-ten prospect in this class. The Carolina Panthers are an ideal team for him to land with because they are in a strong position to bring him along slowly. If they want to sit Tua for a year, they could just keep Newton around or give Allen a chance to prove himself. If they feel like Tagovailoa is ready, they could trade Cam and turn the team over to the rookie out of Alabama.

Bring in a smart offensive-minded head coach, draft Tagovailoa and let them work with McCaffrey, D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel. This could be a recipe for major success in Carolina.
