Round 2, No. 61 Overall: Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU

Now it’s time for the Kansas City Chiefs to get some help in the secondary. Kendall Fuller has had an alright season despite missing five games, and while Bashaud Breeland and Charvarius Ward have had their moments, the Chiefs need a more consistent piece to go with Tyran Mathieu.

Jeff Gladney would be an excellent add in round two. He has great footwork at the line of scrimmage and has the speed to stick with receivers down the field. Gladney has also been fantastic at the catch point the last two seasons, logging 26 passes defended in that time.

There’s a good chance that Gladney becomes a major riser throughout the draft process, especially during Senior Bowl week. Wherever his stock ends up, Gladney should be a target in the draft for the Chiefs.

Round 3, No. 93 Overall: Shane Lemieux, OL, Oregon

The Chiefs must continue to protect Patrick Mahomes and keep him upright and healthy throughout his career, especially in his early seasons. The interior of their offensive line has been a work in progress this season, as Austin Reiter, Andrew Wylie, and Stefen Wisniewski have gotten playing time. It would be beneficial to find some depth at this position.

Shane Lemieux would be a good selection at this spot in the draft. The Chiefs do run a lot of zone, and while Lemieux isn’t the smoothest mover, he can hold his own when he pulls near the line of scrimmage in the chaos. Lemieux will be a big help in pass protection with his violent hands, great play strength, and good anchor ability.
