Kansas City Chiefs 7-Round 2020 NFL mock draft: Adding defensive studs
The Kansas City Chiefs are in the playoffs, so it isn’t quite draft season yet. But, they could still use some playmakers on defense in 2020.
It’s been a great week for the Kansas City Chiefs and their fan base. The Chiefs secured a win over the Chargers in Week 17, and with the help of the Miami Dolphins defeating the Patriots, Kansas City now has a first-round bye in the playoffs and a good amount of momentum.
There’s a lot of focus on the Chiefs and the coming playoff game at Arrowhead, and a shot at the Super Bowl. Kansas City is the only playoff team that has beaten Lamar Jackson and the Ravens this season, and are a major threat to them and the entire league. Their offense is catching fire again with Patrick Mahomes leading the way, and when their defense is playing well, they are arguably the best team in football.
With those Super Bowl aspirations, it’s understandable that Chiefs fans aren’t focusing on the 2020 NFL Draft right now. The good news is that we at NFL Mocks are always focused there and ready to provide some info on who the Chiefs could select come April.
The key for this Chiefs team is to continue to draft talent to surround Patrick Mahomes and to sustain being an average to above-average defense. With only five picks in the upcoming draft, the Chiefs need to maximize their haul with impact players, especially on defense. Let’s take a look at who the Kansas City Chiefs could select in the 2020 NFL Draft.
