Pick Analysis. OT. Alabama. Jedrick Wills. player. Scouting Report. 53. 5

The 10th overall pick may seem like a reach for Jedrick Wills, but I think Wills is being underrated and should be in the top 15 conversation. They may be able to afford to trade back and pick up some extra picks and still get him and if they can pull that off that’d be an excellent move.

Wills has risen up draft boards thanks to an excellent season. He was first team All-SEC and was first team All-American by CBS and USA Today.

Wills is a pretty complete tackle prospect. He has good size (6-foot-5, 320 pounds), he’s pretty quick, extremely strong and he has good technique in both pass protection and run blocking. In pass protection, he gets set quickly after the snap, uses his size well and is good with his hands. In the run game, he fires off the snap and uses his power to take on defenders.

While he is a prospect I like a lot, he’s still behind Thomas and Wirfs because those guys have more upside than him. I see Wills as a bet to be a solid player at the next level, but the ceiling just isn’t as high as the other tackle prospects.
