Despite the presence of Drew Lock on the roster, the Broncos need depth at the quarterback position.

They could opt for a veteran option here and there will be plenty available this coming offseason, but if they draft one, I really like the idea of Nate Stanley from Iowa.

The Hawkeyes run plenty of the same types of concepts offensively we see from teams like Denver, San Francisco, New England, and others, and Stanley has become a nice game manager for the Hawkeyes over the course of his four years on campus.

Despite his flaws and problems with inaccuracy at times, Stanley has upside with a big arm and would be worth developing behind Lock in Denver.

He also could be an asset on QB sneaks. Stanley averaged almost four yards per sneak this past season and that part of his game became a real asset.
