2020 NFL Draft: Raiders make huge trade in first round mock draft
What do you give the team that apparently has everything?
How about a pass rush to not only help get the stellar offense more opportunities, but a player who can help close out close games?
That’s exactly what Curtis Weaver would bring to the table.
The Baltimore Ravens do an excellent job of developing unheralded players on the defensive front seven, and at this point, Weaver is a bit of an unheralded edge prospect because he’s not a freakish athlete and doesn’t play in a major conference.
With that said, his production has been remarkable, and the Ravens took a shot in the third round last year on a player named Jaylon Ferguson who underwhelmed athletically after a stellar college career at Louisiana Tech.
Perhaps Baltimore will see a similar type of gem in Weaver, whose production is first-round quality on its own.
If the Ravens end up winning the Super Bowl and then making a pick like this, the rest of the NFL had better be on notice for the foreseeable future.
